Produção semanal de flores deve crescer 150% em São Benedito

Floricultores da Serra da Ibiapaba preparam-se para mais uma data comemorativa que utiliza bastante flores e rosas: o Dia de Finados. Entre os cultivadores, há uma expectativa de crescimento na produção semanal em torno de 150%. Mas para garantir a produtividade do setor são necessários muitos cuidados e dedicação, segundo destaca o produtor Cláudio Fogaça.
“Precisamos trabalhar dia e noite, chova ou faça sol. Procuramos fazer uma programação que atenda a todas as datas especiais como Dia das Mães, Dia dos Namorados, e agora Finados, depois Natal. Mas para que possamos atender à demanda do mercado, precisamos, antes de tudo, termos altos controles”, afirma ele.
Conforme explica, se houver algum erro na programação, haverá semana com muitas flores, mas outro período sem nada para coletar.
“Para nós, que estamos fora dos grandes centros de leilões em São Paulo, se errar na mão da programação fica complicado”, explica Fogaça. Ele informa que, toda semana, são cultivados dois mil pacotes de flores, prontas para serem colhidas. O produtor planta uma variedades de rosas de diferentes tipos de Crisântemos (também conhecida como flor do campo), além de Tango, Aster (os ramalhetes) e Gipsofila Lírio e Gérbera. Com a proximidade do Dia de Finados a produção aumenta, passando de dois mil para em média cinco mil pacotes por semana.
Cláudio Fogaça é natural de Holambra (SP), município conhecido internacionalmente como “Cidade das Flores”. Nasceu e cresceu dentro do ofício da floricultura até que um dia conheceu as terras do Ceará. Como empregado de uma das maiores empresas do ramo no Sudeste, aos poucos aprendeu a dominar segredos e técnicas para cultivar as variedades de flores no campo.
Hoje, com quase sete anos de muita dedicação e disciplina, o ex-empregado virou proprietário da Flora Fogaça. Mudou-se de vez para a Serra da Ibiapaba para cuidar, dia e noite, de 30 diferentes tipos de Crisântemos, além de Tango, Aster e Gipsofila, que cultiva em cinco hectares de terra. É na luminosidade e no clima da serra cearense que Cláudio Fogaça revela o segredo da sua boa produtividade no campo.
Por ano, as coloridas flores do campo cultivadas na Flora Fogaça produzem, em média, 100 mil pacotes.
Exportação
As rosas cultivadas no Brasil vêm conquistando espaço como item de exportação. As condições de produção do País, dotado de diversidade de solo e clima, têm permitido o cultivo de diversas espécies e conferido a produtores brasileiros oportunidades de expansão no mercado internacional. A produção na região da Ibiapaba foi responsável, em 2007, por 71% das flores exportadas pelo Brasil.
Para esse período em que se aproxima o Dia de Finados, praticamente tudo já foi colhido. As unidades estão sendo preparadas para chegar às floriculturas de todo País. Embalados para viagem encontram-se Girassol Kallunga; Margaridas; Campello, Sunny Reagan, Fillipi, Refury e a principal delas a White Reagan. Hoje, os produtos da Flora Fogaça abastecem, além do mercado cearense, parte dos Estados do Maranhão, Piauí e Rio Grande do Norte.
A Reijers, principal empresa brasileira com filiais espalhadas entre os Estados do Ceará, Minas Gerais e São Paulo, figurando entre as principais exportadoras do País, é outra que também atua na serra da Ibiapaba. Neste período do ano ela concentra toda sua produção para o mercado interno. “100% do que é produzido aqui no Ceará por exemplo, fica no mercado local. Ao contrário de outras épocas em que 15% do que produzimos é selecionado para exportação”, informou Janyclecio do Nascimento Campos, supervisor de logística da Reijers. Ele acrescenta que o maior exportador hoje é Amsterdã, na Holanda.
A Reijers, empresa nacional, se instalou em São Benedito em 2002. Foi sempre referência de experiência bem sucedida para o cultivo de flores, com alta tecnologia agrícola, e de vocação da Serra Grande para a floricultura. O sucesso serviu de espelhos para que outras iniciativa fossem tentadas em municípios como Ubajara e Tianguá.
